There once was a young woman who was terrified to pursue her bigger dreams…

It didn’t matter that she was tired and burned out.

Her fear of the unknown was greater than her discomfort in staying where she was.

She didn’t believe she could make great money doing work she loved. She saw other people doing it but thought, “They must be lucky.” “They must have something I don’t.”

Until one day, she took a chance. She took a “leap.” She got support — a coach and mentor who believed in her. The first of many. She invested in herself, even when it didn’t “make sense” to do so at the time.

She trusted her gut, and she went ALL IN.

She kept her “day job” for as long as she needed to while she built up her dream business on the side. Then one day, she had enough momentum to leave her former career behind, and step fully into coaching.

From that moment on, she no longer held the belief that “I have to choose between making great money and doing work I love.”

She proved to herself she could have BOTH.

Step-by-step, she built a business she was proud of. Changed lives for the better. Made great money doing it.

Her confidence grew — though she still felt fear and self-doubt whenever she was stretching herself in new ways, or going for her bigger dreams.

~~~
This is a story about how I took the “leap” into work I love… and never looked back.
I wasn’t special. I was SCARED.
But month after month, and year after year, I kept going for it. Taking risks became a little easier with time. Putting myself out there became less frightening.
I would have quit 1000x if not for all the amazing coaches and mentors who supported me along the way.
THANK YOU, to each and every one of you.
And THANK YOU to me too. ☺️
Makena, I’m proud of you for having the courage to “feel the fear and do it anyway.” And keep showing up, again and again and again.
It’s been a huge journey from that day 5 years ago, to the thriving business and beautiful life I’m blessed to have today.
… and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
xoxo,
Makena
